  • One woman’s bid to encourage smarter travel

    Jo Levers, a parent, governor and teaching assistant at St Michael’s Primary School in Wandsworth, has played a pivotal role in implementing its school travel plan. The number of pupils walking to school has risen from 65% in 2005 to more than 91% today and they’ve reduced their car use from 34% to 8% in five years.

  • Directors of ACT Travelwise - Dan Blanchet (iTRACE Commerical Manager) elected

    Dan Blanchet has been the Commercial Manager with iBase Systems Ltd for nearly 10 years and has been working on the iTRACE project since it’s inception in 2005. On June 8th 2010 Dan was elected to the board of Directors of Act Travelwise, the UK’s premier network for all organisations working to promote sustainable travel. ACT TRAVELWISE was formed in 2008 from a merger of The Association for Commuter Transport (ACT) and the National TravelWise Association (NTWA). Both organisations were membership bodies that have been working to promote travel behaviour change since the mid-1990’s.
