Envirohub NI 195 - Specification

The module consists of two parts, Envirohub Web, an internet based data management and reporting tool and Envirohub Mobile, a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) based inspection tool.

Envirohub Web
Envirohub Web is the online application that manages the configuration, data maintenance, service-task assignment, reporting and mapping functions. The sections below provide more information:

Envirohub Mobile

Envirohub Mobile is the PDA application that is used by field based staff to record PMS inspections results and associated information.

On opening the application, the user is required to login, the credentials are verified and the allocated inspections are downloaded via the mobile phone network (GPRS/3G). On completion of inspections, the user initiates synchronisation to upload details to the central database.

A grid view and data entry forms are used to display the details of the allocated transect(s). The grid view provides search and sort functionality allowing the user to quickly locate the record they require. The data entry form is used to capture the inspection details including grade (required), comments (optional), photo (optional), predominant failure reason, further actions, GPS coordinates and date/time.
